SCAD Photography Project - Artist Statement

Sometimes we like to think we know our loved ones best. But do we really? People have different identities. How you are at home, is different from how you are at work. Or with friends. Or with your partner. Or when you’re alone. It’s the micro-expressions, the small gestures in these situations that make us who we are. Just how we can never truly know someone, these pieces are not the whole person but they capture the moments that might go unnoticed.

For this concept I kept a cinematic feel and documented a friend, raw,
without direction and captured the smaller vulnerable moments.
