Welcome to my internet space.
I’m a Pakistani art-based creative director with roots in Hong Kong and Japan, currently exploring the world as a remote and freelance creative director.
I graduated Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Advertising plus a Minor in Photography. My journey began as a graphic designer at a start-up branding agency in Hong Kong, followed by a design role at high-end fashion house Thakoon, helping launch seasonal concepts as well as New York Fashion Week.
Having had a long-time desire to work in travel, in late 2016 I got on board the Cathay Pacific Central Team at McCann Worldgroup. This is where I really found my creative voice and honed into what I love doing best today - ideas that are useful and meaningful, with innovation and craft at the heart of it all.
I was responsible for multi-national work on a range of regional and local brands including MasterCard, Nespresso, Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts, and lead Art Director for health insurance giant Cigna, spanning 14 markets around the world.
In 2018 I was commended as one of McCann’s Rising Stars. In 2020 I was interviewed by Little Black Book for their Uprising section, allowing me to tell my story of how my South Asian background inspires my creativity. My work has been awarded at international festivals including Cannes Lions, AdFest, the Webbys, and I’m always looking for ideas, both within and outside the ad industry, that can really make a difference no matter how big or small.
In 2022 I jumped to more cultural marketing at 160over90, an Endeavor company, where I was the lead creative in the team, working with HSBC, AIA, Marriott, The Olympics, and more for the APAC region, leading me to focus on more partnerships, sponsorships, ambassadors, sports-led creative and experiential briefs, including Tottenham Hotspurs and Manchester United.
When I’m not being an ad woman, I find joy in discovering underground live events and trying to finish multiple books at the same time. I’m constantly fascinated by how the world is designed and always looking forward to the next beautifully crafted experience.
